The Yuba Powerhouse Preserve is located on the foothills of the western slope of the Sierra Nevada in Yuba County. This property has historic significance as the site of the Yuba Power House-which generated hydro-electric power fueled by waters from the Yuba River from 1898-1911 and delivered it to area gold rush era mines, mills and towns. This 80 acres site is in a highly scenic oak woodland with views across the Sacramento Valley to the Coast Range. It is currently owned and managed by the Mendocino-Tahoe Conservancy.
